Improved Ground Contact and Traction
The wide spread between the driven axles on the tractor and trailer ensures that all wheels provide continuous traction even if one wheel or complete axles’ wheels hit difficult ground.
On steep grades or difficult terrain the effective distribution of weight on to the trailer driven wheels aids traction and reduces wheel spin.
The articulation coupled to the rear steer system gives a superb degree of manoeuvrability. With a small outside turning circle, large inside turning radius and with the trailer wheels tracking practically the same path as the tractor, there is virtually no trailer cut-in and the system delivers a natural narrow path steering capability.
